Fresh and tasty

We bought a few fish rolls and something to drink there today, it was very tasty and the staff were very nice and tried hard. Unfortunately, it was obviously not that well prepared for the large number of customers, so it took a long time.

How does it taste? (Still no idea... We have been waiting for 4 simple fish rolls for almost 40 minutes ... - Unbelievable! End not in sight ... A good rating is therefore no longer possible. -A pity... We will avoid the takeaway in the future. P.S .: After we finally got our order, I have to say, in a fair way, that the fish sandwiches didn't taste bad. - Nevertheless, the extremely long waiting time simply does not allow a better evaluation. - Sorry ...

Tasteless, greasy food. We had the plaice with french fries, calamari and potato salad. Unfortunately there was nothing fresh. Staff was not particularly friendly, although there was little to do. And at a price that is far too high. No thanks, I won't be back.

The food was so-so, no event, no palate party, no positive surprise. But the price was decent. No must for fish lovers, we enjoyed the first fresh North Sea fish this year.

I would want to give even more stars for food. Unfortunately, the service was so unfriendly and aggressive that I leave it at 3 stars.

Backfisch could have been a bit crosser. Okay in taste. Ambience a bit dusty.

Very friendly service, waiting time wasn't too long, the fish (plaice fillet with crabs, fried potatoes and coleslaw) was delicious, we'd love to come back.

Unfortunately, the corona hygiene was absolutely not observed. Without gloves and without a face mask. Not even washing your fingers after the next customer. As I saw it, I left. Can speak German very badly. She asked.

In no way worth it! For me a fish snack of the inferior kind. What do you expect when people who have no idea about fish try herring, kibble, fried fish etc. to sell typical fish things. Everybody should be able to open the bucket, heat it up, serve. They can't even do that. Prices: 2x Kibbeling 1x French fries (both drowned in too cold fat) with Mayo + 1x 0.33 Jever for ridiculous !! 22 €. That was by far the worst kibbeling I ate. This snack is not a recommendation. Better to the port of Hooksiel Ton Fischhus or Restaurant Anker or Fischimbiss Dornumersiel at the harbor Fried potatoes with matjes and 1x cod fillet with fried potatoes, 2 x 0.33 Jever also 22 € ... but 200% better.

French fries were not through and totally sloppy. Unfortunately, the waitress could hardly understand me and could not explain to me whether the mayo is homemade or an industrial one. The staff wasn't particularly friendly either. Unfortunately I can only advise against it!

We were there on Monday and never again, rolls very small and the ,,, fried fish the size of a fish finger ,, tasted like nothing. Never again, for 4.90 € that's a cheek. Actually, I don't want to give a star.

The fried fish rolls are difficult to pass as food. Much worse, however, was that the waitress yelled at us because we wanted to take our rolls with us (as already mentioned twice when ordering). All in all, I would prefer not to give a star.

After a nice bike tour, now delicious kibbeling with garlic sauce, a great end! Very nice and attentive service. The dogs were given water without being asked. You sit outside very nicely. Highly recommended!

Backfish more expensive than at home in the market or at the fair. Kibbeling even € 8.20. I find it more than outrageous. How can the fish on the lake be almost twice as expensive as in the middle of NRW? At least it was delicious. There is nothing to be said against that.

Very friendly couple of owners who made us something to eat just before the shop closed. Very tasty kibble rings and good sauces. Completely uncomplicated and very hard-working so that the guests feel comfortable.

Delicious snack, ideal for us when we were on the way back and quickly wanted to eat fish with 2 small children beforehand. The owners are remarkably friendly, you can cut off a slice of others! Ambience, as the name suggests, is like a snack bar and not a restaurant. We expected exactly that and were not disappointed! Gladly again

The food itself is not bad. Simple fish dishes and the usual fast food. The waitresses are nice. Unfortunately, it takes until the tables are cleared, so that the new guests always sit with old dishes at the table. But as I said, the food is good and the prices are also "normal".

Unfortunately now only disappointing :-( Earlier (2017 + 2018) you could here the small hunger z. B. breastfeeding with a bread roll. That was always delicious. Now (July 2019) new operators seem to be there. The Backfischbrötchen is carelessly presented and is only greasy. The fish piece very small. And taste is different. Too bad.
